Apple TV has been ramping up its film efforts, and Deadline reports today on a high-profile new acquisition—One Month Mark—that had near-unprecedented levels of Hollywood interest.
One Month Mark will star Jennifer Lawrence, with ‘one of the best rom-com scripts in years’

Apple’s film strategy, especially as relates to theatrical, is still an open question. F1 was a huge success for the company last year, but so far no theatrical films have been announced for 2026. Instead, Apple has prioritized streaming-first movies.
That approach doesn’t seem to have hurt Apple’s negotiating power for high-profile projects.
Its latest success story is One Month Mark, a new film written by Sophie Fleur de Bruijn. Per Deadline:
Here’s the logline: “The film follows two individuals – she has never made it past a month in a relationship, he has never gone longer than a month without one.”
Deadline was told by several sources that One Month Mark has “one of the best rom-com scripts in years.” There’s no word yet on who will play the male lead alongside Lawrence.
Lawrence also starred in Apple’s Oscar-nominated film Causeway, and will soon be seen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in another Apple film: What Happens at Night, from Martin Scorsese.
Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, or you can get it discounted through the Apple One bundle.
